Eryops in the Prehistoric Gardens

Literally, "drawn-out eye"
Eryops was a meat-eating Labryinthodont Amphibian that lived during the lower Permian period of the Paleozoic era, some 275 million years ago. Although only 7 feet long, he was one of the largest of the primitive ampbibians. His modern relatives are the frogs and salamanders.
