Tyrannosaurus




Pronounced: ty-ran-o-SAWR-us

Literally, "tyrant lizard"

50 feet long, 20 feet tall, Tyrannosaurus was the largest land-living meat-eater of all time. He weighed from 8 to 10 tons and was the "King of the Dinosaurs" during the upper Cretaceous period, some 70 million years ago.
