Literally, "swamp lizard"
A mammal-like Therapside Reptile, Lystrosaurus lived
during the Triassic period, 200 million years ago.
The nostrils located high on the skull indicate that
like the modern hippopotamus, the plant-eating
Lystrosaurus spent much of his life in the water.
